 This course provides sales representatives with an understanding of HIPAA—the privacy rule of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. The law governs how individually identifiable health information can be transmitted and shared.
The definition of individually identifiable health information is presented along with a description of who is covered by the law, and, most importantly, how to ensure that representatives are complying with the law.
Finally, through realistic case scenarios, representatives learn how to cope with privacy issues that they may encounter while on calls.
